Bolo "Portugal"

Bolo de tapioca estufada com banana chamado bolo “Portugal”



Este é o tradicional bolo "Portugal" do Bairro Português de Malaca. O bolo é comido durante todo o ano, servido com uma xícara de chá por volta das 15 horas. Este bolo, de cor azul, quando é servido é salpicado com pedacinhos de côco desfeito.

Os ingredientes principais são:
1. Copo de água morna
2. Tapioca
3. Bananas maduras
4. Açúcar
5. Coloração azul
6. Côco de Raspar

3. Figu maduru
4. Surkri
5. Clor di azul
6. Koku di raspar

CAKE STEAMED WITH TAPIOCA AND BANANA CALLED “PORTUGAL”

This is our traditional Portuguese Cake in the Portuguese Settlement, Malacca.
This cake is eaten throughout the year. It is normally eaten with a cup of tea around 3 o’clock in the afternoon. This blue-coloured cake is sprinkled with tiny pieces of scrapped coconut when served.

The main ingredients are:
1.Cup of warm water
2.Tapioca
3.Ripe bananas
4.Sugar
5.Colouring - blue
6.Scrapped coconut
